Grovo Does New York TechDay

Written by Grovo

Last Thursday, Grovo got to hang out with some of our NYC tech brethren and sistren at the fourth annual New York TechDay. The event, dedicated to companies doing “something awesome with tech,” drew over 400 startups from across the globe. Pier 92 in Manhattan was transformed into a global “science fair for startups” as forward-thinking companies of all stripes set up booths and swag to show off to the tech enthusiasts, job seekers, and investors in attendance.

The next day, Grovo was one of ten companies invited by TechDay to ring the Nasdaq closing bell. Scroll down for pictures from both events.

Is that new wave star Gary Glitter leading Grovo’s Tech Trivia? No, it’s the equally legally embattled lounge comedian Gary Nutmeg! He’s known to engineer shorter and more effective learning within 500 yards of any training program.

The next day, Director of Communication Glenda Felden and Director of Learning Alex Khurgin were invited to ring Nasdaq’s closing bell in Times Square. Here they are looking fresh on the red carpet.

All told, New York TechDay was a great event that gave us a chance to meet some fantastic people and companies. It was also the best science fair we’ve ever attended. (The water cycle—who knew!) Thanks for having us, TechDay. You’re something awesome in tech.
